The Supers, the Stoners and the Big Bad

Overview

What begins as Sammy trying to make her under-accomplished bestie, Lauren, feel better on her birthday quickly turns into an adventure that both of these forty year old women are way too high to take on. Three Super-powered beings show up and convince Sammy and Lauren that they alone can help save the world from a mad scientist named Nola. They are nothing but average (maybe slightly below), so no one will ever suspect them… besides they did always want to save the world.
After training and briefings, sometimes based around warts, they are sent to Nola’s lab where they are set to steal Nola’s greatest invention, (a wart treatment machine gone wrong that accidentally gives people powers), “The MacroPower”, and stop her from world domination. Things don’t exactly go according to plan and they quickly find out that The Supers are actually the bad guys, and they have been duped into helping them execute an evil plan to increase their own powers and seek revenge on every Ottawa based small business owner that has ever looked at them the wrong way. Nola has been trying to stop them for years, and now Lauren and Sammy have mucked it all up. Driven by guilt Lauren and Sammy are determined to find a way to stop The Supers, even though they are extremely under-qualified for the job. Unfortunately, they can’t agree on how to do it, resulting in the biggest conflict the duo has ever had. Heartbroken from their fight, Sammy is taken hostage by the Supers who are back to get a piece of the machine that Sammy stole in a last ditch attempt to help. Once she discovers what has happened, Lauren has no choice but to return to Nola and beg for her forgiveness and for her help.
With a bit of luck, some laxatives, and their trusty donut truck, Lauren finds The Super’s hideout and rescues Sammy. Lauren and Sammy narrowly escape the barn as it explodes, sending literal limbs flying. This means the end of The Supers, and unfortunately Nola … or so they think. Much to their surprise, the event also may have given Sammy and Lauren, AND the donut truck some unpredictable and hard to control new powers of their own.
