JOE KICAK is the Showrunner/Co-Creator/Writer/Director of the Canadian Screen Award & WGC-nominated series DETENTION ADVENTURE (CBC). The series is distributed by Blue Ant Media and broadcast on HBO Max in the United States, iTV in the United Kingdom, and ABC in Australia. DETENTION ADVENTURE recently won the 2020 Kidscreen Award for Best Original Web Series, with season 2 premiering on October 2nd, and Season 3 currently in development. Joe’s other directing credits include MUST KILL KARL (Best Comedy, HollyShorts Film Festival & Short of the Week Selection) and FRIGID (Golden Sheaf-nominated, Best Drama & Best Director).
